Critical Infrastructure Underground
Cargill invested $42 million to construct a new #4 airshaft at the Cayuga Salt Mine — the largest underground salt mine in New York State. This deep ventilation, access, and emergency escape shaft improves air quality, shortens evacuation times for miners, and sustains safe, long-term operations. LRS was trusted to handle vital surface work supporting this high-profile project.
